The Blockbuster Report

This weekend there is really only one film to talk about: Inside Llewyn Davis. This one will be in Oscar talks for sure, as the Coen Brothers take on folkie Greenwich Village in 1961. This is my Film to Catch this week, as I’m super excited about it. I love folk music and have always been intrigued by the goings on during the “folk revival” in NYC. Also in wide release this week is Into the Furnace, starring Christian Bale, which looks to be ok, but not an Oscar contender.

Oscar Isaac stars in Inside Llewyn Davis.

In limited release this weekend, Liev Schrieber stars in The Last Days on Mars, a sci-fi/pseudo-zombie flick about the discovery of some very alien life on the Red Planet. If that sounds interesting to you, then go ahead and track a showing down.

Where Do They Come From?
